Rendering Tips

Use Cycles for fast material preview, slow render times. Eevee for slow material preview, fast render times. Cycles is more precise/has more options. I prefer cycles.

Under Properties > Units: set Unit Scale to 0.01, Length to mm  
Tthen under Viewport Overlays set Scale to 0.01, this makes the default Blender cube an 20x20mm object and draws grid lines every millimeter.
When exporting as STL chose selected object, then File > Export > STL select Selection Only and Scale to 10.
